If you have always wanted to go skydiving and you have decided that this is the perfect time to try it, here are some tips that you can use to make sure that you have the best time possible while you are on your first dive.

Wear Plain Clothes

When you are diving, you don't want to wear anything with strings, decorations, or anything loose. Things can get loose and hurt you, or they could get tangled up in the parachute. What you do want to wear is sneakers that lace tightly, pants that you might wear to the gym or to work out in, and a shirt that fits snugly but that still has plenty of range of movement. You may want to wear a long-sleeved shirt because it can get chilly as you are jumping.

Eat a Little Something

You don't want to jump on a full stomach, but you don't want to have a completely empty stomach either. You don't want to run the risk of your blood sugar bottoming out, which could cause problems when you are jumping. So have a little snack that will help keep your blood sugar up. Try something with peanut butter in it because it can help you feel like you have something in your stomach and can help with your blood sugar.

Go Early

You want your jump to go really well, so you might want to book it for first thing in the morning. Typically, the weather tends to be pretty good in the morning, which is good for a first-timer. You are also less likely to experience any delays, as well, since there haven't been very many other jumps that happened before yours. Having the first or second appointment will also give you less time to psych yourself out. The later in the day that you go, the more likely you are to have your anxiety build up, which can make your first jump much more stressful and much less fun.

Ask Questions

Don't be afraid to ask questions. That's what the instructors are there for. They want to make sure that you are having fun and being safe, and answering your questions is just one way to make that happen.

If you have always wanted to skydive, now may be the perfect time for you. Knowing a few tips can make your first jump much more enjoyable for you.
